Director/Writer
Ming Fen Congdon is a Chinese-American director and production designer currently living in Los Angeles. After graduating from Salve Regina University with a major in Studio Art and a double minor in Graphic Design and Illustration, Ming Fen moved to Los Angeles where she quickly fell into filmmaking, and specifically, the Art Department.
Since then, she’s been a production designer on shorts funded by The Black List Grants, set decorated for Disney Launch Pad, and utilized her creative gifts to bring to life sets for companies including Indeed and Amazon.
Wanting to further develop her toolkit in storytelling, she recently took on writing and directing her first short, Whispers. Whispers is a personal piece where Ming Fen felt she could merge life and art, healing and growth. It was finished in October 2024 and is currently making its rounds on the festival circuit.
Ming Fen’s second project, The Space Between, is in its development phase and dives further into her experiences as an adopted Chinese-American.
