Christina May is the founder and president of Image of the Word, LLC, established in 2008. She developed her own company to serve as an Acting Coach for aspiring artists, and to create and showcase her original works as an actor. Her company has purposed traveled to Memphis and Dallas as well as Israel. Christina’s acting workshop methods and techniques have served Rebecca David Dance Company, Extreme Dance Academy, Philadelphia Ballet School, and currently Walnut Street Theatre’s Education Department. Working with Inner-City Movement, a community non-profit organization for at-risk youth, Christina was integrally involved with an Art Education Program. She was responsible for script writing, artistic direction, and coaching, as well as performing in a string of original youth theatre productions spanning 2008-2010. She performed as part of the PlayPenn Festival in 2008 at InterAct Theatre Company, and was featured in Joey Major’s “Be Alright” music video. Christina was the recipient of the Dorothy Haas Acting Apprenticeship in 2006, which led to her participation in multiple educational outreach tours with the Walnut Street Theatre. Christina graduated from the University of the Arts in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts. Her work continues to take her all over the country and the world. A veteran on stage and screen, Christina uses the mediums of coaching, directing, writing, and connecting to inspire and motivate others to be forces of “Divine Light & Love” in the earth.
