Director/Writer/Producer

Frances is a Chicago-based director, producer, writer, editor, cinematographer, and VFX artist. Her award-winning short films Red, Rosa, and Hair have screened at festivals nationwide, including the Orlando Film Festival, the Miami Short Film Festival, and the Yonkers Film Festival.

Her screenplays have been recognized by the California Women’s Film Festival and the Women’s Independent Film Festival. She was a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival and a Short Script Finalist at the Harlem International Film Festival. Her cinematography in Rosa earned her honors from the New York Cinematography Awards.

She is passionate about telling stories that reveal our shared humanity. With each project, she strives to help viewers recognize themselves in the soul of another—to illuminate the truth that we are more alike than we are different. Her hope is that even the smallest shift in perspective can lead to a better, more connected world.
