Philadelphia, PA – The Women’s Film Project is honored to be hosting our 3rd annual film festival. This year we are at The Prince Theater partnering with QFlix. For those who love film, this is place to be! Films are being shown in both theaters from noon to midnight with a full concession stand with bar (cash or credit) all weekend long.
For SAG & Actors networks, this is a phenomenal place to get the latest scoop on what filmmakers are doing and saying. Come meet the writers, directors and producers of tomorrow to get involved with local projects.
Jump starting the weekend, is Women Outward Bound which showcases the first group of women to complete the Outward Bound program finished by our centerpiece-feature Carrie Pilby. Carrie, an eighteen year old, played by Bel Powley, goes on a rollercoaster journey of relationships, sex, and morality. Also on Saturday, March 18th, a series of other short films fill our packed schedule such as Lemonade Mafia starring Marsai Martin from ABC’s Black-ish!
For a continued good time, join us Sunday, March 19th. From noon until 9:30PM, there is much more female centric cinemagic to delve into including the bookending film Mad for Madonna; which is a MUST SEE! All the way from Switzerland, this documentary captures the spirit and fandom of the one and only Material Girl! The Women’s Film Festival will celebrate another year of fantastic filmmaking in style at Opa in the gayborhood of Philadelphia!
