A young receptionist working at a healthcare practice, grapples with heartbreak, motherhood and a crumbling healthcare system. Locked into a disconnected routine, when she picks up the phone to a mum struggling with anxiety (Kirsty), they discover a shared past and form an unlikely bond.

Director

Tara Aghdashloo is a writer, director, and poet born in Iran. Tara is a former journalist who has recently pivoted to narrative filmmaking, and her shorts have been commissioned by BFI Network, BBC, Canada Council of the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, and Toronto Arts Council, and screened at festivals internationally. BRIDGE is Tara’s second short film.
